OUR COMMITMENTS
Reduce Emissions
Each year, Argent removes an estimated 15M truck miles from local freeways by recycling materials in Oakland. Our customers would otherwise need to drive to and from the North Bay or Altamont area to dispose of broken concrete & asphalt in a landfill or pick up construction materials from a quarry. We operate using non-fossil fuel R-99 diesel and electric power generated through wind and solar.
Clean the Streets
Oakland is our home and we treat it that way. We clean 3 miles of some of the worst illegally dumped streets in Oakland. Together with our friends and neighbors we pick up over 4,000 pounds of trash each week in East Oakland.
Recycle
Argent is a recycling company: we turn old concrete and asphalt into new construction products. We recycle 99.9996% of everything delivered to us. Our business preserves landfill space and reduces the need for mining and quarrying.
